Getting Started with LUNA AI Avatar

Welcome to the LUNA AI Avatar documentation. This guide will help you set up and start using the LUNA AI Avatar in your browser, ensuring a smooth and interactive experience.

Browser Permissions

To interact with the LUNA AI Avatar using your voice and camera, your browser requires specific permissions.

Microphone and Camera Access

When you first launch the LUNA AI Avatar experience, your browser will prompt you to allow access to your microphone and camera.

  • Microphone: Required for voice interactions with LUNA.
  • Camera (Optional): Enhances the experience by allowing visual context, though voice-only interaction is fully supported.

Please click Allow when prompted. If you accidentally denied permissions, you can usually reset them by clicking the lock icon (๐Ÿ”’) next to the URL in your browser's address bar and toggling the permissions on.

Troubleshooting

WebRTC Issues

The LUNA AI Avatar uses WebRTC for real-time, low-latency communication. If you are experiencing connection drops or infinite loading:

  1. Check your network connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
  2. Firewalls/VPNs: Corporate firewalls or VPNs sometimes block WebRTC traffic. Try disconnecting from your VPN or checking your firewall settings.
  3. Browser Support: Ensure you are using a modern, updated browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox).

Autoplay Restrictions

Modern browsers often block audio and video from playing automatically unless the user interacts with the page first.

  • Issue: The avatar is moving, but there is no sound.
  • Solution: Click anywhere on the page or press a designated "Start" or "Unmute" button to initiate audio playback. Browser autoplay policies require this initial user gesture.
